Akufo-Addo most ‘corrupt’ President in Ghana’s history – Sammy Gyemfi

Sammy Gyemfi of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has lashed out at President of Ghana, H.E Nana Akuffo-Addo, describing him as the most “corrupt” President in the history of Ghana.

The National Communications Officer accused the President (Akufo-Addo) of deceiving Ghanaians and plunging the country into economic hardships as well as presiding over a “Corrupt and Nepotistic” administration.

According to him, the CDD’s Afrobarometer report and the recent Corruption Perception Index exposes the President Akufo-Addo as an “Enabler and Promoter” under his watch.

“Whether you look at Afrobarometer or the Corruption Perception Index, President Akufo-Addo has proven to be the most corrupt president in the hystoy of Ghana,”

Sammy Gyemfi intimated.

Mr. Sammy Gyemfi made these remarks Tuesday, February 11, in an interview on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana with Paul Adom-Otchere.

He argued laying emphasizes on instances including the PDS, BOAST, NYA scandals and the missing excavators saga etc to back his claim.

“From the ODS fraudulent scandal, in which Ghana lost 190 million dollars, the galamsey fraussters [and] the Australian Visa fraud scandal.”

He continued “[We can talk about] the PPA Donkome, NYA scandal and the BOST Scandal, he [Akufo-Addo] has proven to be the biggest enabler and promoter of corruption. He is peerless when it comes to that.”

However, Sammy Gyemfi believes the ruling NPP’s quest to retain power on December 7 will amount to nothing.

He said Ghanains are discerning and are tired of the economic hardships, and expressed optimism the NPP will be ousted in the December 2020 elections for John Mahama.
