An executive of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Sagnarigu constituency has bemoaned the lack of logistical and human resource support from incumbent MP Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini, to market the party and candidate ahead of the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections.
The NDC stalwart (who spoke to TamaleOnline News on condition of anonymity) said, executives of the party in the area have little or no support from the incumbent MP to ensure he retains the seat for the party.
According to him, the former Deputy Northern Regional Minister who has held the seat two terms (8years) claims he is financially incapacitated because he is an opposition MP.
“Running a campaign is about logistical and human resource support to win any elections but our MP is very stingy in terms of release monies to market him to the people. Till now, we haven’t received much from our MP except for that came from Hon Inusah Fuseini and a few others,” a disturbed executive intimated.
He added “But for the love we have for the party and how committed we are to ensure our party [NDC] wins power in the 2020 elections, we continue to serve the NDC to the fullest.”
However, he is optimistic the party will win the Sagnarigu seat but feared that the NDC’s will drop if Mr A.B.A Fuseini fails to up his game.
Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini will slug it out with Madam Felicia Tetteh, a business woman and Northern Regional second vice chairperson of the governing NPP.
