Akufo-Addo donates ¢200K towards Yegbomwura’s 10th anniversary celebration

President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo has donated a sum of two hundred thousand Ghana Cedis (¢200,000) towards the 10th anniversary celebration of Yegbomwura Tutumba Bosera I, the King and Overload of Gonja Kingdom.

The Savannah Regional Minister Adam Braimah presented the cheque on behalf of the President to Chairman of the Gonja Traditional Council Busunuwura Monasa Jonokpowu on Thursday, 6th November, 2020 at the Yegbomwura Palace at Damongo in the Savannah Region.

The money is aimed to support the planning committee for preparations ahead of the celebration.

The event comes off on Saturday, 14th November, 2020 at the Yegbomwura Palace at Damongo.

It is also to celebrate a dacade of the live and legacies of Yegbomwura as King of Gonjaland for the past 10years.

On his part, Chairman of the Gonja Traditional Council, Bupiewura Abdulai Jinapor II thanked President Akufo-Addo for the kind gesture on behalf of Yegbomwura.

He noted the Kingdom is looking forward tfor presence of President Akufo-Addo during the occasion.

However, President Akufo-Addo has been named Guest of Honour for the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Yegbomwura.
