The Member of Parliament for Zabzugu constituency in the Northern region, Umar Alhassan Baako says government’s decision to construct 94 hospitals across the country is unattainable.
Mr. Alhassan noted it was impossible even if money for the projects were to be available to government.
President Akuffo-Addo in his 8th National Address last Sunday to give an update on Covid-19 promised his administration will under the construction of 88 district and 6 regional hospitals across the country within a year.
Reacting to the statement, the minority MP took a swipe at President Akufo-Addo indicating he was mislead into making such promise since it takes four weeks to construct a four (4) bedroom house in Ghana.
“And yet President Akufdo Ado has been mislead once again to say that his government will built 88 district hospitals in 8 months. I can’t still think far,” portions of Alhassan Umar Baako Facebook read.

Even if you have stashed up cash, it takes more than 1 month to build a four bedroom house in Ghana, not to talk about yet to sought for credit facilities by the government from IMF, World Bank , etc. And yet President Akufdo Ado has been mislead once again to say that his government will built 88 district hospitals in 8 months. I can’t still think far. The Swahili says it’s only a foolish blind man whose testicles would be stepped on twice. Ghanaians deserve better. Enough of the deception and out right hoodwinking by the NPP.
