Alhassan Suhuyini donates to late Dr Abdulai Choggu’s Shekkinah Clinic

Member of Parliament for Tamale North, Alhaji Alhassan Shayibu Suhuyini has donated food items, assorted drinks and toiletries to Shekkinah Clinic, a facility housing physically challenged and mentally retarded in society located in the Sagnarigu Municipality of the Northern region.

The items presented on Monday, 3rd August to the facility includes 20 bags of rice, 5 bags of maize, 2 bags of millet, 10 cartons of Cooking oil and 2 cartons of Tomatoes.

Others include 4 bags of sugar, 20 cartons of bottled water, 20 crates of minerals, 4 cartons of milk, 100 pieces of toilet roll, 20 pieces of Mobbing sticks.

According to Mr Suhuyini, the gesture is a token to support the legacy of late Dr David Abdulai Choggu of providing free meals and medical support to Persons with Disability (PWDs) and destitute in society.

Manager of Shekkina Clinic, Hajia Mariam (wife of late Dr David Abdulai Choggu) who received the items thanked the Alhaji Alhassan Suhuyini for his support.

She acknowledged the gesture and pledged it would be used for the rightful purpose of providing food and taking care of inmates of the facility.

Hajia Mariam also called for more support from the public to help keep the legacy of her late husband, Dr Choggu alive.

However, the Tamale North legislator accompanied by some NDC’s constituency executives and Hajia Mariam visit the gravesite of the late popular philanthropist to pray for him.
