The Ghana Health Service (GHS) in the Northern Region is on a manhunt for two Covid-19 patients who are on the run.
The two persons where among 12 other contacts to have tested positive for Covid-19 in Tamale on 22nd April, 2020.
According to the Northern Regional Health Director, Dr. John Eleeza, the patients escaped as they are yet to complete their treatment process.
He added the patients have left theirs home and gone into hiding.
It will be recalled that, one of the Guineans who tested positive for Covid-19 in March also escaped from isolation at a hotel in Tamale.
However, Dr. John Eleeza assured the two who escaped will be found in due time to avert spread of the disease.
He therefore appealed with the general public to maintain all safety protocols to stem the spread of the virus.
Meanwhile, 19 out the 31 cases have fully recovered and discharged with one death, an 80 year-old woman.
