The NDC parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wougon, John Dumelo has revealed he was ordered to stop dredging drains in the constituency.
The actor now politician said he was asked to stop work by the Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly.
According to John Dumelo, he decided to dredge the drains following complains by residents about flooding in their community at West Legon.
“The community in West Legon complained to me about flooding and I decided to help by deploying excavators to dredge the drains there. After 3 continuous days of dredging the site, Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly has ordered me to stop but I still Dey 4 my people,” the popular actor said in Tweet.
However, it is unclear why Assembly directed Mr. Dumelo to stop dredging the drains at West Legon.
Perhaps John Dumelo may have not informed the Assembly before carrying out the exercise.
Meanwhile, the Ayawaso West Assembly is also yet to respond to claims made by the NDC candidate for the area.
