Ghana’s defender, Abdul Baba Rahman is set to come back stronger after injury setbacks in recent times. He is currently looking forward to feature for Spanish side RCD Mallorca.
Rahman underwent surgery in January this year on his knee which had been his ‘Achilles heel’ for some time.
The left back started the first two games in the La Liga for the Barralets but saw his progress retrogressing due to partial tear in the lateral ligament of his right knee due to poor support.
Several attempts to correct it failed and so in January he made the bold decision to go under the knife.
He was coerced to accept a conservative treatment that would allow him play, but he put priority on the rest of his career and asked for surgery.
Baba’s decision has paid off as he returns to training physically and psychologically fully fit at 100%.
It has been revealed that he has decided to stay at Mallorca and continue his loan spell on the Spanish Island. Thus he has purchased a house to confirm his love and commitment for the club and Spanish football.
Rahman is currently a Chelsea player whose contract runs out in 2022. Chelsea officials want the Ghanaian international to earn half of his salary by getting a new club.
He is also not ruling out the chance to play for other clubs especially in France where several offers have also been tabled for him.
He was loaned to Stade de Reims in 2019 before moving to Spain on another loan deal. After playing for Tamale Young meteors FC, Dreams FC and Asante Kotoko in Ghana, he left in 2012 for Greuther Furth in Germany.
