Ban sports betting to save Ghana youth from early heart attacks – Irbard Ibrahim

The Executive Director of Irbard Security Consult, Alhaji Irbard Ibrahim is advocating for sports betting to be banned in Ghana.

According to him, banning of sports betting will help save Ghana’s youth from early heart attacks.

Sports betting has become a phenomenon in Ghana with an increasing number of the youth spending most of their productive hours in these centres.

Alhaji Irbard who launched the campaign earlier this year believes the menace is killing the future of the youth in Ghana.

He has thus, as part of the campaign mounted huge billboards in some parts of Accra calling the attention of stakeholders to the negative impact on the youth.

However, Alhaji Irbard disclosed in a Facebook post that his outfit is working assiduously with some lawmakers in parliament to ensure sports betting is banned.

“BAN SPORTS BETTING TO SAVE GHANA’S YOUTH FROM EARLY HEART ATTACKS!
We are working assiduously with some parliamentarians to see how sports betting can be banned so that betting companies don’t play ‘chaskele’ with the hearts of Ghana’s youth!”

Alhaji Irbard wrote on Facebook Wednesday, 18th December, 2019.
