Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has been crowned Best International Act for the second time at the 2020 edition of the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards.
This year’s event was under the theme; “Our Culture is Too Big To Be Cancelled”. The event was held to a virtual audience on Sunday due to Covid-19.
The 28 year-old singer and songwriter was nominated alongside Congolese star Innoss’B, Sho Madjozi (South Africa), Dave (UK), Stormzy (UK), Ninho (France), and S.Pri Nior (France).
Burna Boy who won the award last year in response thanked the organisers and also said “in order for black lives to matter, Africa must matter”.
