Champions League: PSG Ends Bayern Munich’s 19-Game Unbeaten Run

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have revenged their last season’s UEFA Champions League final defeat to Bayern Munich, with a win in the first leg of this year’s quarter-final.

The French team defeated Bayern Munich 3-2 in Germany on Wednesday night, April 7, 2021.

The win for PSG marks the second defeat for Bayern in 29 Champions League games.

PSG’s victory also brings to an end, Bayern’s 19 unbeaten run.

Kylian Mbappe put PSG in the lead within just three minutes after kickoff.

Marquinhos doubled the lead for PSG in the 28th minute.

Choupo-Moting pulled one back for Bayern in the 37th. Muller leveled the score in the 60th minute.

But Mbappe scored the winner in the 68th minute with a brilliant low finish through the legs of Jerome Boateng to the right corner.

Neymar and Mbappe dominated play for the most part of the night in Germany.

The return leg will be played in Paris on Tuesday, April 13, 2021.

Bayern defeated PSG 1-0 about eight months ago to clinch their sixth UEFA Champions League title.
