Chelsea have lifted the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League after defeating Manchester a City 1 – 0 on Saturday night in an all Premier-League encounter in Porto.
A brilliant 42nd minute goal by Kai Havertz won the title for the Blues at the Stadio Do Dragao in Portugal.
The 21-year old German forward went pass City’s goalkeeper Ederson from a defense splitting pass from Mason Mount.
This will be the second time the London-based club is lifting trophy and bring it back to the Stamford Bridge after their first triumph in 2012 in Munich.
Pep Guardiola’s men struggled to get a consolation goal after they lost Kevin De Bruyne to injury midway through the second half.
The EPL champions will continue to hunt for their first Champions League trophy next season.
However, Chelsea will later face Europa Cup winners Villarreal for the UEFA Super Cup clash.
