Concern Youth Group Salutes Nana Akufo-Addo with ‘Thank You Health Walk’ in Tamale

At about 6am Saturday morning, a group known as Concern Youth based in the Northern Region converged at the Tamale Jubilee Park and went on a walk dubbed “Thank You Health Walk” in honor of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The group numbering over hundred and clad in white branded t-shirts with “Thank You Mr President” boldly writen in front, matched through some principal streets of the Tamale Metropolis from the jubilee park to sakasaka through to the water works area and then branched into Aboabo were they connected to the Tamale West Hospital road straight back to the jubilee park on the central mosque road.

Pladcards were on display expressing gratitude to President Akufo-Addo for the peace, unity and reconciliation of Dagbon after a protracted years of cheifency dispute between the Abudu and Andani Royal Family of Dagbon.

The walk was to also thank the president for choosing Tamale as host city of the historic 62nd Independence Day Anniversary Celebration at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium were lots of government officials, opposition parties, foreign missions in Ghana and top businesses in and outside the country visited the region for the first time.

Convenor of the Concern Youth Group, Mubarak Alhassan told TamaleOnline.Net the president has done a lot for the North and it is was only proper to set out some activities to express their sincere gratitude to him.

“His Excellency the President has done a lot for Dagbon and the Northern region as a whole and we have to appreciate his efforts by letting the people know and understand what he has done by translating it into massive votes that’s why we cane out with this concept,” an enthusiastic Mubarak stated.

He continued… “This is the first face, the second face is a musical concert ft all northern artist the date for the concert will be out soon.”
