Two fresh cases of the Novel Coronavirus has been recorded in Tamale, the Northern Regional capital. The Ghana Health Service (GHS) in the Northern Region have confirmed.
This brings the total number of cases to 13 in the region out of 1042, 99 recoveries and 9 deaths.
Regional Health Director, Dr. John B. Eleeza who confirmed the new cases said the victims (Male and Female) have been admitted to the Isolation centre at the Tamale Teaching Hospital for treatment.
Dr. Eleeza revealed both are residents of Tamale without any travel history. He added the lady showed symptoms of Covid-19 when she visited the hospital whiles the man visited the hospital for voluntary testing.
According to him, blood samples taken and the results turned out positive.
The Covid-19 cases in the Northern Region include 8 Guineans, 2 Burkinabes and three Ghanaians.
