The Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini has donated obout two hundred bags of rice to vulnerable persons living in the constituency.
The relief package is to support the less previlaged while they stay at home to stem the spread of the Covid-19 disease in the country.
Alhaji Fusieni presented the items to executives of the NDC Saturday, 11th April for onward distribution to the needy in the constituency without discrimination or political affiliation.
The gesture is also to cushion the negative effect of the deadly virus on the social and economic lives.
The former Energy Minister under the erstwhile Mahama administration urged members of the constituency remain calm and adhere to President Akuffo-Addo directives on the disease.
He also admonished them to prayerful and ensure regular handwashing with antibacterial soap under running water, and other health protocols prescribed by the Ministry of Health and Ghana Health Service (GHS).
However, Mr. Inusah Fuseini after 14 years in parliamentary in 2019 announced his intention not to seek re-election in the primaries.
He served in several ministrial portfolios as the Minister for Energy, Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Minsiter for Roads and Highways between 2009 and 2016.
Meanwhile, a former Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed is the party’s parliamentary candidate for the 2020 elections.
