Covid-19: John Mahama donates to Ridge Hospital

Former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has presented Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Ridge Hospital in Accra.

Mr. Mahama presented the items to management of the hospital Sunday afternoon, 29th March, 2020.

The items includes 100 full sets of PPE, 100 gum boots, 120 doctors scrubs, 50 patient gowns, 30 theatre gowns and 400 packs of bottled water.

The gesture according to the former president was necessitated by reports of shortage of PPEs and other materials to support the fight against the Coronavirus virus.

He was optimistic the items will help in protecting staff of the hospital as they go by their medical duties.

However, Dr. Emmanuel Sorofenho, Medical Director of the Ridge Hospital expressed gratitude to the Mr. John Mahama for his assistance.

The NDC flagbearer was accompanied by National Chairman, Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, former Interior Minister (Chairman of the party’s Covid-19 responds team) Prosper Bani and Dr. Zenator Agyemang Rawlings, Member of Parliament for Klortey Korle constituency.
