The Deputy (CEO) Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), Hon. Albert Kassim Diwura on Friday, July 17, 2020, registered for his new voters’ Identification Card at Canteen, a suburb of Damongo in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.
Mr Diwura received his ID Card to vote in the forthcoming December 2020 general elections after successfully going through the registration process.
He commended officials of the Electoral Commission and the Security Officials for their hard work.
Mr Diwura also used the opportunity to encourage constituents to go out in their numbers register for their card to vote on 7th December 2020.
However, he urged them to do so while adhering to the necessary safety precautions to register for the ID Card.
“The process was very smooth and safe. The social distancing and other Covid-19 safety protocols put in place by the Electoral Commission at the polling station were also very encouraging,” Mr Diwura noted.
He further stated “We are in challenging times because of Covid-19, but I encourage you, patriotic citizens of Damongo Constituency & Ghana at large, to take part in the registration exercise.
“As we step out to register, let us continue to adhere strictly to all safety measures, including wearing our face masks and observing social distancing”.
