Deputy MASLOC CEO celebrates mothers in Yendi

Hajia Abibata Mahama Shaani Zakariah, a deputy CEO of the Micro Finance and Small Loans Center (MASLOC) has honored mothers at Yendi in the Northern Region as the world marks Mother’s Day Sunday, 14th May.

At a ceremony organized yesterday to celebrate the toils of women in the area, the aspiring parliamentary candidate for Yendi on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), presented gift hampers to the dozens of mothers present.

The gesture according to the former Business Development Manager at Jospong Group of Companies is to put smiles on the faces of mothers who have impacted positively in the future of the children regardless of the challenges.

Addressing the gathering, Hajia Abibata Shanni extolled mothers as the backbone of every child and that, the event was aimed at expressing appreciation for the unconditional love and care shown to their kids in their early days till adulthood.

She revealed her quest to lead the NPP in the 2020 elections is an agenda to serve and not to be served.

“My agenda for Yendi is to ensure the constituency is rightful pedestal by ensure the socio-economic development are achieved.” Hajia Abibata stated.

She added that the human development is among her key priority areas with special focus on women empowerment.

Meanwhile, the occasion was also used to celebrate some hardworking women who saved the party since the Busia-Dombo era but are no more.
