Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) and Osman Baba Daney have teamed up with Parliamentary Candidate for Yendi, Farouk Aliu Mahama to retain the seat for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the forthcoming December 2020 elections.
The move is aimed to unite the base of the party and to increase the margins for both President Akufo-Addo and Farouk Aliu Mahama in the constituency.
The duo lost the recently held parliamentary primaries to Alhaji Farouk Mahama in a fiercely contested elections.
Hajia Abibata on Saturday, 19th July, 2020 presented a brand new Pick Up to the Youth Wing of the NPP to support their campaign activities in Yendi.
Mr Baba Daney on the other hand has been instrumental in the ongoing voter registration exercise and other activities to support the party and the candidate.
However, Alhaji Farouk Mahama, son of late former Vice President of Ghana urged followers of the former aspirants to bury their differences for the task ahead.
He noted that factionalism among the members of the party could prove detrimental since the battle is between the party and the NDC.
“There is a bigger challenge on us now than before. We should unite and do everything to win the seat.” Alhaji Farouk appealed.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Farouk Mahama has also supported the party with a Motorbike and an amount of Five Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢5,000).
He has secured land for the construction of an ultra-modern NPP Constituency Office.
