Farouk Aliu Mahama’s PDR to support farmers with agri-inputs

In his bed to make Yendi the bread basket of the nation, first son of late former vice president of the republic, Alhaji Farouk Alui Mahama is set to disburse farming inputs to farmers in the municipality this Saturday, May 4, 2019.

The presentation will take place at the forecourt of the Yendi Community Center.

Alhaji Farouk, who is aspiring to lead the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) as Parliamentary candidate in the 2020 elections is undertaking the project through his Partnership for Poverty Reduction (PPR), a non-governmental organisation.

Items to be distributed include 1200 bottles of Weedicide, 580 cutlasses, 340 Wellington boots, 600 bags of fertilizer (urea and NPK), 100 Napsacks and 300 anti snakes.

The gesture forms part of PDR Cooperate and Social Responsibility (CSR) and to aide farmers make good yields during this year’s farming season and beyond.

It is also to help the over hundreds of farmers in the area produce more to feed the nation and maximize profits.

The Partnership for Poverty Reduction (PPR) is a none profit making organisation established and managed by Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama the son of Ghana’s first Muslim Vice president of Ghana and a deputy procurement officer at Ghana Cocoabod.

He is also aspiring parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Yendi constituency in the forthcoming internal parliamentary primaries later this year.
