Fasa Construction and Transport Ventures presented a cheque of Gh¢5, 000 to the Tamale Central Hospital to support the of training of staff at the maternity health department.
The training comes in three (3) thematic areas; Antenatal, Maternity, and Labour Ward Management.
The gesture aimed to support the facility in enhancing quality health delivery service to reduce still births and improve neonatal and new born care in the hospital.
Speaking to TamaleOnline News’ Prince Chentiwuni after the presentation, Chief Executive Officer of Fasa Construction & Transport Ventures, Abdulai Abdul Fatawu said the donation forms part of the company’s Cooperate Social Responsibility (CRS) to strengthen the health sector.
“The target is to reduce still births from an average of one a week to zero a week, and reduce neonatal births due to asphyxia from one a quarter to zero a quarter.”
Mr. Abdul Fatawu stated.
Deputy Director of Nursing Services at the Tamale Central Hospital, Mr. Williams Abitor who received the cheque thanked Fasa Construction & Transport for their kind gesture.
Mr. Abitor added the kind gesture by Fasa Company came at the right time and expressed gratitude to the Chief Executive Officer and his entire staff.
However, checks by tamaleonline.net has revealed that the said training will kick start on Monday, June 1, 2020 at the Northern Regional Ghana Health Directorate Training Center.
