Former NDC Vice Chair Demands Haruna Iddrisu’s Removal As Minority Leader

A Former Vice Chair of the National Democratic Congress, Madam Anita Desoso is asking leadership of the opposition party to remove Haruna Iddrisu as leader of the minority caucus in parliament. 

The stems from the recent disagreements amongst the minority MPs which led to the resignation of North Tongu MP, Samuel Akudzeto Ablakwa from the Appointments Committee over the approval of Ken Ofori-Atta as Minister for Finance by consensus. 

Accra-based kasapafmonline reported that the outspoken politician has vowed lead a demonstration against the Haruna Iddrisu regime if the NDC does not change the current leadership in parliament.

According to her, they [NDC leadership in parliament] betrayed the trust and confidence of the rank and file of the party. 

“If they don’t change these guys now, I’ll personally lead a demonstration against the leadership because this can’t continue anymore. 

“The Judahs within the party are being exposed and it’s time to remove them,” Madam Anita Desoso told Kasapa FM in an interview Thursday morning. 

However, She applauded the former Deputy Education Minister for his resignation to show his disapproval of the actions of their leadership. 

Meanwhile, former Majority Leader of the NDC, Mr Cletus Avoka has warned against attempts to change the Haruna Iddrisu led-administration. 

He argue they have performed well since taking over in 7th parliament despite their challenges. 

He stressed any attempts to replace them will cause havoc for the opposition NDC.
