Gushegu: Gub Gbaai-Naa McDan calls for peace following violence in Kpatinga

The Chief Executive Officer of McDan Group Dr. Daniel Mckorley has weighed in on the violent chieftaincy clashes at Kpatinga in the Gushegu District of the Northern Region.

One person is confirmed dead whiles five others sustained gun wounds in a renewed chieftency clashes.

Hundreds of residence particularly woman and children fled for their lives as properties worth thousands of Ghana Cedis got burnt.

Schools in area have also been shutdown as a joint team of armed police and military personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order.

However, Dr. Mckorley, the Gub Gbaai-Naa in a statement sighted by TamaleOnline News has called on the feuding parties to enschew violence and give peace the chance to reign in the area.

He also advised indigenes to accord the Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa-Naa Abubakari Mahama II with outmost respect to rule the Kingdom.

According to him, there can’t be any meaningful gains in conflict nor attract positive investment urgently needed.

“My good people in the north particularly Kpatinga and its environs, please don’t let me down. Give peace a chance and let’s all accord our overlord Yaa Na of Dagbon the utmost respect, space and support to speahead our unity and development.

We can’t make any meaningful gains in conflict. Neither can we attract the positive investments urgently needed when our mothers and children are running for dear life.

I entreat the youth most especially to halt all tendencies of violence and lets work together for the development of mother Ghana in PEACE.”
