Presidential candidate for the All People’s Congress, Dr Hassan Ayariga has paid a courtesy call on the King of Ga State (Ga Mantse), King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II and the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs.
The visit is aimed to introduce the flagbearer of the of the party to the traditional authorities ahead of the December 7, 2020 general elections.
A statement signed by the APC’s National Communications Officer, Francis Ansah Tewiah said the move became necessary ahead of party’s campaign in October.
“The party after its 2nd National Delegates Congress on the 24th of August, 2020 deemed it necessary to call on some eminent personalities and institutions before the main campaign in October, 2020,” Mr Tewiah stated.
According to him, the visit also offered the party the opportunity to brief the Ga Mantse and Chiefs about their major policies and manifesto commitment to the people of Ghana.
“The Presidential Candidate of the Party, Dr Hassan Ayariga introduced a cross section of the National and Regional Executives to Ga Mantse and also highlighted on some key policies in the party’s 2020 Manifesto,” he added.
On his part, the Ga Mantse commended the leadership of the APC for the august visit and prayed for the party to achieve its desired results in the upcoming elections.
However, the APC has earlier visited the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharubutu and the Christian Council on a similar mission.
