In the wake of perennial water crises in most parts of the Northern Region, Member of Parliament for Gushegu, Alhaji Hassan Sulemana Tampuli has over the weekend begun the dredging of some dams in the constituency.
Beneficiary areas includes Gushegu Old Dam and Kpatinga Dam in the Gushegu Municipality. Other dams to be dredged include the Bilsinga and the Kpaligu dams respectively.

According to him, the move forms part of efforts to curtail the perennial water crises that has hit the Gushegu municipality and its environs.
Alhaji Hassan Tampuli witnessed the commencement of work by the contractor alongside the MCE, Municipal Chief Engineer, Constituency Chairman and other NPP sympathizers.
However, the former CEO of NPA assured constituents that measures are in place to permanently fix water crises in the constituency.
