Overlord of Dagbon Kinddom, Ya-Na Abukari Mahama II has extended his good will message to final year SHS finalists participating in this year’s WASSCE exams urging them to be confident.
This is contained in a statement issued by Secretary to the Ya-Naa at the Gbewaa Palace, Abdul Rahman Mohammed.
“I wish to on behalf of my elders and all the people of Dagbon send my best wishes of luck to all final year Senior High School Candidates who are writing this year’s WASSCE Examination,” the statement said.
“I entreat you all to have confidence to overcome all challenges you may encounter, stay tocused and believe in yourself,” Ya-Naa added.
The King of Dagbon also assured that his prayers and those of the people of the Kingdom are with them throughout the period.
About 313,837 final year students are writing the West African Senior Schools Certificate Examination (WASSCE) across Ghana.
It commenced on Monday, 20th July, 2020 amid health concerns put in place to.prevent the spread of Covid-19.
However, the Ya-Naa also admonished participants in the ongoing exam to adhere to all safety protocols of Covid-19 to stem the spread of the dreaded disease.
“I also wish to urge everyone associated with the conduct of the examinations to adhere strictly to the COVID 19 safety protocols so that we can all stay safe and stay alive”” Ya-Naa advised.
