National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wougon, John Dumelo has supported some students of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) with 2Terabyte (2,000GB) of internet data to be used for e-learning.
The renowned actor offered the gesture bafter series of engagement with various class reps of the institution location within the constituency.
According to Mr. Dumelo, the gesture was purposely support their (students) online lectures following the closure of schools due to Covid-19.
I have been engaging some class reps on Gimpa campus since yesterday and I’m happy to announce that I will be sharing a total of 2Tb( 2,000Gb) of data amongst some students on Gimpa campus to enhance their online lectures. God bless us all. 🙏🏿. #idey4uthe actor announced on Twitter.
President Akuffo-Addo on 15th March directed the indefinite closure of schools due to the outbreak Coronavirus in the country.
Since then, students have been observing lectures online as part of measures to contain the spread of the Covid-19.
Meanwhile, Ghana has recorded 2,169 cases, 229 recoveries and 18 deaths.
