Kumbungu Parliamentary Candidate Leaves CPP After 795 Votes In 2020 Elections

The 2020 parliamentary candidate for the Convention People’s Party (CPP) in the Kumbungu Constituency, Nabila Alhassan Yakubu has resigned from the party after many years of service.

The former National Youth Organizer leaves the party after a failed attempt to win the parliamentary elections in December 2020.

He was beaten with two others from the NPP and an Independent Candidate by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Dr Hamza Adam who pulled 22,961 votes whiles Nabila Yakubu came last with 795 votes.

Mr Nabila Yakubu announcing his decision to quite politics thanked CPP’s 2020 presidential candidate, Mr Ivor Greenstreet and the rank and file of the party for giving him the opportunity to serve in various capacities over the years.

According to him, he is leaving to spend with his family and personal growth.

“My way forward now is to do proper consultation with my beautiful wife, my Kids, family, godfathers, friends, concentrate on my private life, my family and my education and enjoy my Manchester United games,” Mr Nabila Yakubu stated.

He added “I shall on my birthday thus on the 17th of June this year communicate to you all my next line of action in life and Politics.”
