The Black Stars of Ghana have been thumped 3-0 by Mali in a friendly encounter Friday night in Antalya, Turkey.
This happens to be Coach C.K Ackonor’s first game in charge of the senior national team since his appointment in January, 2020.
The Malians started the game quite strongly and found the back of the net in the opening three minutes after Hamari Taorare excellently went pass left-back Gideon Mensah.
The Black Stars also failed to impress in the second half of the game whiles the Eagles push on to add two additional goals courtesy Stade de Reims playmaker El-Bilal Toure in the 49th minute and the third from Amadou Haidara 15 minutes from time.
However, Ghanaians and several sports journalist/analyst have expressed disappointment as C.K Akonnor’s debut game as Coach of the Black Stars ended in a disappointment.
The team have 48 hours to re-establish themselves to face Qatar in the next friendly on Monday, 12th October, 2020.
