Meet Bless Dee, the next big thing in rap music

Bless D is a young rapper who made a strong appearance on the most recent Tv rap competition/Talent Show hosted by the Tamale-based Sagani tv in which he was eventually adjudged the 1st runner-up of the competition, the first of its kind in the North.

Born Gafaru Shahadu Bitamsimli, the 19 year-old also known as “The Gbangba” is one of the most promising next generation of Hip Hop, Hip Life and Afropop musician in the Northern music industry.

His performance in that well-promoted group single brought his music talents to bear, and won him many acclaims and admirers most of whom have now committed themselves to promoting the boy’s talent. Bless D has recorded nine songs to his name even though he made his entrance into the showbiz only recently.

His rap style is pure hard-core combined with strong rhythms and accompanied by strong messages which mostly encourage good behaviour and abhor deviance or the gross indiscipline that cripples many of the youth in Tamale, and Ghana as a whole.

Bless D emergence in the showbiz can be described at best as a surprise given that he spent the majority of his teenage life selling local Kenkey for his mom in the Tamale markets, almost every day after school. His interest in entertainment started only recently culminating his decision to compete in the Chop the Mic talent show on Sagani Tv.

He is currently working to promote some of his nine songs on record and to eventually plan a stage show in the Tamale metropolis. Bless D is a humble boy having been drilled in the ethos of humility, mutual respect and hardwork by his modest family.

Meanwhile, the rapper is opened for music collaborations and other related deals.
