Northern Ladies ace, Mukarama Abdulai has been adjudged Women’s Footballer of the Year at the 2019 Ghana Footballer Awards Sunday night at the Marriott Hotel in Accra.
The talented skipper of Ghana’s Black Maidens beat the likes Ampem Darkoa Ladies striker Grace Asantewaa and Hassacas Ladies Janet Egyir for the award.
The event that saw massive attendance from top Ghanaian and International football officials, supporters and media personalities was put together AE Media.
Mukarama, 16, in a tweet sighted by TamaleOnline News expressed thanks to the Almighty Allah (God), coaches, team mates, family and friends for her achievements.
Mukarama Abdulai had a great year after her exploits at the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay where she won the Adidas Golden Boot award as the tournament’s top scorer with seven goals as well as the Adidas Golden Ball as the competition’s third Best Player.
She was also part of the Black Queens squad that won bronze at the just-ended West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Zone B Women’s tournament in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.
