Musah Superior leads Covid-19 sensitization at markets, bus terminals in Tamale

The Mayor of Tamale, Iddrisu Musah Superior has kick started an intensive sensitization campaign amid the Coronavirus disease in the Tamale Metropolis.

The MCE yesterday (Tuesday), together with officials of the assembly and assisted by Dr. Seidu Fiter visited the Tamale Central Market, Aboabo Market and the Tamale Bus Terminal to educate traders, officials of the GPRTU, drivers and passengers about the deadly disease.

The exercise is aimed to disseminate information to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus to the populis that has so far infected 68 persons and 3 deaths in Ghana.

Musah Superior used the opportunity to remind the public about the banned of all kinds of gatherings.

He cautioned persons who would violate President Akuffo-Addo’s directive would be dealt with within the ambit of the law.

Dr. Seidu Fiter also educated the people on the measures to prevent themselves from being infected with the Covid-19 virus.

He encouraged the public on the need for Social Distancing and regular hand washing with soap under running water.

He further noted the use of face mask and hand sanitizers are equally important as part of safety measures against the virus.
