Nakpanduri-Bunkpurugu NDC-NPP parliamentary candidates hot as another candidate emerges

It is being speculated that a group of young people in the Bunkpurugu-Nakpanduri Constituency are massing themselves up with the intention of presenting a candidate for the upcoming General Elections to contest the Parliamentary Seat in the Constituency after several political parties have contacted them to contest on their ticket.

The said group, which keeps growing in numbers on daily bases, bemoans the lack of leadership shown by successive MPs in the area of youth and socioeconomic development of several communities in the constituency.

They also criticized the deliberate neglect or somewhat denial of some communities in the constituency of their share of the national cake.

These communities, they say are considered as minority or inferior groups by such politicians, yet at every election they always bag their successes from such inferior or minority groups.

Meanwhile this Minority groups are the decision making body’s when it comes to the decision of which political party wins in any organized election in the Constituency.

A close source indicates that, they are vibrant and opinion leaders in various communities within the Bunkpurugu-Nakpanduri constituency and have a long standing relationship with the two major political parties in Ghana where their impact have been strongly felt by these parties before.

Another source also indicates that, they have gone round the constituency and created youth wings that are ready to support them to win the Bunkpurugu-Nakpanduri seat when the Electoral Commission of Ghana opens nominations for various political parties to pick forms to contest for the Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

They have also conducted frequent community needs assessment and other surveys to understand the needs and problems of the people of the Bunkpurugu-Nakpanduri constituency and have since drawn various strategies and approaches to address such problems in order to support the livelihoods of the people of the Bunkpurugu-Nakpanduri Constituency.

From their community’s surveys, it can be felt that the current and previous MPs have deliberately succeeded in making the people and communities of the Bunkpurugu-Nakpanduri constituency poor in other to continue to use them for their personal gains after any given election, most especially the Minority and vulnerable groups within the Constituency.

“We know we don’t have the money but we have the masses. We will strongly advocate widely for our constituent to understand that, they should never and ever allow the NDC and the NPP to deceive them once more with Ghc5 by ways of buying their votes, which can never meet their daily demands, and hence will suffer for another 4 years of their lifetime without personal and societal development.

“So far, the groups and communities we have met with, understood the current strategies in politics and are ready to collect those monies to spend without voting for the NDC or the NPP. Those groups are seriously angry with the NDC and the NPP, after seeing how both parties bought moto bikes, sharing monies of thousands, sharing of fertilizer and other benefits to their delegates during their primaries in the expense of they who have the mandate to decide on who goes to parliament on December 7th, 2020”. one of the leaders revealed

These young people have vowed to end the NDC – NPP Supremacy in the constituency and this paper can confirm that they are already enjoying a lot of support from the youth in the area especially young professionals and opinion leaders.

They have promised to outdoor their candidate pretty soon as an independent candidate or join forces with those other political parties that have contacted them such as the LPG and the APC parties (decision yet to be reached by the leadership).

They are poised to make a greater impact in this coming parliamentary election and have since vowed to do every possible means to present their candidate to parliament for a balance system of governance in the constituency.
