NDC will win 2020 elections – Alhaji Colins Dauda

Member of Parliament for Asutifi south, in the Ahafo region, Alhaji Colins Dauda, has expressed optimism over winning of the National Democratic congress (NDC) in the upcoming general elections in December 2020.

Speaking on Accra-bssed Power FM’s the evening political, the former Minister for Local Government made an emphatic statement that, the NDC will win the election irrespective of any possible machination deployed by the electoral commission.

“God has crowned his president already, even before he was born, nothing can change what Allah has already done,”

he stressed.

“Whoever thinks he is going to benefit from this manipulations will be disappointed.

“The deed has been completed by God and none can change it”. He intimated

Alhaji Colins Dauda further stressed that, the Electoral Commissioner, Madam Jean Mensah must understand that her posture with regards to the 2020 elections.

According to him, her conduct could be inimical to the peace and stability the country has been enjoying over the years, and must therefore listen to the voice of the masses.

He however stressed that article 45 of the constitution has guaranteed voting rights of citizens in the country and no amount of law or “CI” can overturn the provision of the constitution.

The legaistor added, if electoral commission goes ahead to deliberately disenfranchised millions of Ghanaians in this election, he is afraid thousands of the citizens would storm court to seek redress.

He challenged NDC sympathizers to continue their grassroots mobilization and remain resolute for the comeback of the great national Democratic congress.

Meanwhile, the legislator has  reminded Jean Mensah that, the political landscape of Ghana, has a long standing history and she must trade with caution not to violate the core principle of the 1992 constitution and the spirit of stakeholder engagement that has long existed between political parties and the electoral commission.
