No more “Abudu-Andani” politics in Savelugu – MP to NDC

The incumbent Member of Parliament of Savelugu in the Northern Region, Alhaji Muhammed Abdul-Samed Gunu has warned the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) “Chieftaincy Politics” ahead of the December 7, 2020 elections.

He also demised claims by the NDC it will reclaim the seat after lossing it to the NPP for the first time since 1992 in the 2016 elections.

Alhaji Samed Gunu made these remarks after submitting his nomination forms last Thursday to seek re-election in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries April 25, 2020.

According to the lawmaker, “Abudu-Andani” politics is a thing of the past indicating that constituents are very discerning and will not succumb to such delusional message.

“The NDC claims they have loaned us (NPP) the Savelugu seat and I want to tell them we look up to non but the Almighty God. God won the seat for us and we look up to Him again in our efforts to retain the seat in December 2020”,

Alhaji Samed Gunu told a charged crowd at the patty’s constituency office in Savelugu.

He continued “today we no long into Abudu-Andani politics. We are one people and our biggest challenge is poverty and we’ll continue to deliver our promises one after the other to alleviate the livelihood of the people”.

The Savelugu Legislator also stressed the ruling NPP is the best for the people of the North that has brought numerous policies and development to their doorstep.

Alhaji Samed Gunu also urged party faithfuls to conduct a peaceful campaign and do things that will deliver victory for the party in the general elections.
