NPP accuses Mahama, Asiedu Nketia of instigating violence over new register

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the five Northern regions have accused John Mahama and national executives of the NDC led by its General Secretary Aseidu Nketia of psyching the their suppporters to cause mayhem in the North.

The Party says the recent tour of the Northern regions led by Mr. Aseidu Nketia over the compilation of a new voters’register are attempts to insight the youth to plunge the country into chaos.

The NPP in the five (5) Northern Regions made these remarks at a joint press conference in Tamale and addressed by the Savannah Regional Communications Officer, Mohammed Issah.

According to him, the actions by the former president who doubles as the NDC’s flagbearer show he is not ready for the 2020 general elections.

“The Flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Candidate Mahama has yet again proven to the world that he and his party are not ready for this year’s polls,” he said.

Mr. Issah further slammed the former president over his recent comments that the NDC will reject a “flawed” results in the 2020 elections.

“He has sent yet a strong notice, that the NDC under his leadership shall reject the 2020 election results in the most likely event they lose.

“This is so bizarre coming from a former President who has held virtually every sensitive political position in this country”, the NPP Communication Officers added.
