The North East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Fuseini Nurudeen has appealed to the Electoral Commission, Parliamentary aspirants, security agencies and various stakeholders to collaborate in the spirit of fairness to ensure that the outcome of the parliamentary primaries on Saturday reflect the choices of the delegates and the party as a whole.
This, he said would ensure peaceful contest and promote unity within the rank and file of the party as it gears up for the upcoming elections.
In a statement issued ahead of the primaries on Saturday, Mr Nurudeen commended all aspirants in the region for the peaceful and decorous way they were going about their campaigns so far.
“Our party thrives on internal democracy and the competition of ideas which is why we must come out of tomorrow’s primaries stronger than before” adding that, whoever emerge victorious would receive the maximum support from the executives and the party for the upcoming election.

CHAIRMAN FUSEINI NURUDEEN GOODWILL MESSAGE TO ASPIRING PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATES IN THE NORTH EAST REGION.
The time has come for our party’s esteemed delegates to elect suitable candidates that will represent our party as Parliamentary Candidates in the three constituencies of the North East region with sitting Members of Parliament, namely; Nalerigu-Gambaga, Walewale and Bunpurugu constituencies.
I wish to commend all aspirants for the peaceful and decorous way they have gone about their campaigns from day one up to now. Our party thrives on internal democracy and the competition of ideas which is why we must come out of tomorrow’s primaries stronger than before.
While I am convinced that we will all emerge victorious in the elections and leave none feeling vanquished, I wish to strongly entreat that the PCs that will be elected MUST extend FRIENDLY overtures to their co-aspirants who in the spirit of UNITY and LOVE for the party MUST accept these overtures and work with the elected PCs and the party to bring massive victory to the party both in the Presidential and Parliamentary elections in their respective constituencies.
I also want to appeal to the Electoral Commission, Parliamentary Candidates and their Accredited Agents, the party’s Elections Committee, the Delegates, the Security Agencies, party members and all other stakeholders to collaborate in the spirit of fairness to ensure that the outcome will reflect the choice of the delegates and acceptable to all.
