NPP’s Chairman Akamara donates food items and PPEs for residents of North East Region

A Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for the Yagba/Kubori Constituency, Mr Akamara Bawah has donated large quantity of food items and Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to the six constituencies of the North East Region.

The donation was to aid the party executives and the residents to observe the Ramadan fast as well as help in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The items incudes 151 (25kg) bags of rice, 151 (5Litre) Cooking Oil, 200 gallons of hand Sanitizers and 2000 Surgical/Nose Masks.

Presenting the items to executives of the various constituencies at his residence in Walewale on Tuesday, May 12, Mr Bawah who is also a business mogul said the donation was part of his efforts to support the people in the wake of the pandemic and the Ramadan.

He expressed his commitment to supporting the people in diverse ways to improve on their living conditions, adding that as an indigene of the region his intention was to help protect the people against the pandemic and also put smiles on their faces.

The Bunkpurugu Constituency Chairman, Mr Emmanuel Dokin and the Youth Organizer of Yagba/Kubori, Mr Iddrisu Abdul-AZIZ who received the donation on behalf of their people thanked the businessman for the gesture and pledged to put them into good use.
