NPP’s Habib Iddrisu call on Chiefs, Opinion Leaders in Tolon

The parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Tolon constituency, Alhaji Habib Iddrisu has wrapped up his courtesy call on Chiefs and Opinion Leaders as we as youth groups in the area.

This is aimed to formally present himself to the traditional eadership of the area after emerging victorious in the just ended keenly contested primaries on Saturday, June 20, 2020.

Alhaji Habib, affectionately known as “Soyalana” visited 123 out of a total of 128 towns and villages in the constituency including the Paramount Chief (Tolon Na) Major (Rtd) Sulemana and other prominent chiefs like the Kasuli-Lana, Nyankpali-Lana and many others.

During his visitations, Alhaji Habib commended the Chiefs and Elders for the exceptional leadership and prayer for peace and stability in the area.

He also thanked them for their support to the various government policies and more of which he plans to bring to the people when elected as MP during the general elections in December.

However, the Communications Department of Alhaji Habib’s CampaignTeam believes this is the first of its kind in the history of the constituency that a candidate for parliament pay a courtesy call on all chiefs in the domain even before serious campaign begins.

According to the Team, though he is yet to win the seat in the forthcoming December elections, there is so much he has done for the consitituency which remains a solid “track record”.

He has so far connected Kating Dani (market), one of the biggest markets in the northern region, Gbambaya and Gblahagu Yepala communities to the national grid to lighten up the areas for the people and to improve the socio economic well-being of the people’.

The parliamentary candidate also ensured electricity has been extended to communities such as Dindo, Gurumanchagu yili and Zantani and it is his ambition to get is done before the general elections.

Alhaji Habib Iddrisu has also completed a six unit classroom block for the people of Yoggu through the GNPC foundation and has equally secured funding for construction of a six unit school block for Kpalgon which will begin soon.

During his visit, to the Kasuli-Lana palace, Alhaji Habib Iddrisu made a swift response to the call by the chief of Kasuli to Support the Kasuli Yili Senior High School (SHS) building project.
