Tamale Mayor, Iddrisu Musah Superior has admonished members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) at all levels in the Northern Region to unity against the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He made the remarks in order for the party to achieve its mission to capture a total of 22 seats in parliament in the Northern Region during the December 2020 elections.
However, the elephant fraternity in the Northern Region has been rocked with series of misunderstandings and controversies within the rank and file of the party.
Mr Superior who has been a victim of such controversies has appealed with party members to embrace each other and work collectively to ensure the party beats the NDC in both presidential and parliamentary elections in 2020.
Addressing journalists Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the Tamale South constituency office, Musah Superior said; “We have only one come fight [which is] a fight that is going to engage us with the NDC so that, we are able to defeat them [NDC] in both presidential and parliamentary elections come December 7, 2020.”
He further urged party supporters and foot soldiers to conduct themselves in a manner that is appropriate to ensure that they do not engage in issues that will divide the party during and after the NPP’s parliamentary primaries.
“All our actions, activities and the kind of things we do should be seeking to unite and bring the party together so that, the chosen candidate[s] at the end of the primaries on the 28th September would be able to excite and galvanize our energies to be able to deliver effective fight in December 2020,” Musah Superior added.
