President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo has commissioned 307 ambulances for distribution for various constituencies across the country at the Black Stars (Independence) Square in Accra, Tuesday, 28th January, 2020.
The ambulances where procured by the New Patriotic Party government under the “One-Constituency-One-Ambulance” initiative.
It is also in fulfillment of the NPP campaign promises during the 20216 elections.
The distribution of the ambulances President Akuffo-Addo said will provide timely emergency healthcare to Ghanaians especially in the remote areas.
He urged Regional Ministers, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives to ensure the facilities are in good conditions and out to good use at all times.

According to the Minister for Special Initiatives Madam Mavis Hawa Komson, the ambulances have been fitted with tracking devices and modern communications and medical gadgets to provide quality emergency healthcare delivery.
Meanwhile, personnel of NAS, including paramedics and drivers, have successfully undergone training prior to the commissioning to ensure efficient and effective pre-hospital services.
