Entertainment critic, Abdul Razak Achirison, has charged managers of Radio Stations in Tamale to deal decisively with on-air personalities who violate the code of ethics in their presentation.
Speaking on the weekends Chart Show on Zaa Radio Saturday, the maverick pundit averred applying this measures will sanitize the airwaves and ensure professionalism at all times.
According to him, manager of radio stations should not sallow persons who are privileged to go on air to create tension in society with their unguarded pronouncements.
“Radio stations must begin to sanction the unprofessional conduct of presenters with suspensions,” Achirison stated.
He further stated that businesses could seize from advertising on such networks if these unwarranted and self-seeking popularity is not checked.
“I personally wouldn’t transact any business with such stations where unprofessional conduct is condoned,” he added.
The conduct of some program hosts in the region last week has come under scrutiny for the incessant controversies orchestrated by some radio presenters.
Some Industry watchers and listeners have expressed bitter concerns over the emerging phenomenon of using abusive words, character assassinations and other unruly behavior during live broadcast.
