Race 4 Aid donates to Tamale Central Prisons

Race 4 Aidid, a Non-governmental Organization (NGO), has donated food items and other essential materials to inmates of the Tamale Central Prisons.

The items presented includes bags of rice, toiletaries, footwear, boxes of toothpaste and brushes etc.

Mr. Issifu Abubakari Sadick, Project Coordinator at Race 4 Aid said the gesture is aimed to support them in the fight against COVID-19.

“The exercise was necessitated by the need to provide and support with the needed essentials to help ease the situation amidst this pandemic,”

Mr. Sadick explained.

A representative of the Tamale Central Prisons, Mr Divine Kwame who received the items thanked Race 4 Aid for their gesture during this period.

He mentioned that, even though there are challenges, leadership of the Prisons are ensuring compliance to the protocols to protect inmates and the service against Covid-19.

The Race 4 Aid as an NGO and registered as charity organization has made a lot of donations across the country, especially to vulnerable communities, prisons and orphanages.

It has also supported vulnerable individuals in various ways to uplift their livelihood.
