Following her expectational style of music and projection of the Ghanaian culture to the rest of the world through her unique music, Ghanaian songtress Sharifa Gunu has been honored with the Live Time Achievement Award at the 62nd Independence Anniversary Celebration in Holland.
The event was held over the weekend by the Ghana Mission (Embassy) in Holland (Netherlands) for the Ghanaian community Amsterdam.
The “Salamtu” hitmaker has over the decade been churning out good indigenous African music that has erned her an international appeal, and has also performed in some major international music festivals in Europe.
The award also recognises Sharifa’s immense contribution to the Ghana Music Industry and good works towards women empowerment in Ghana.
The Gunu music star thanked the organizers, the Ghana Embassy in Holland and the Ambassador, Akwaaba Holland, the Ghanaian community in Amsterdam as well as people who have been supporting her music thus far.
