Experience Sports Journalist with Tamale-based Zaa Radio, Halid Prince Mukadi Gbramoni is set to address issues bordering soccer tournaments (Gala Matches) in the Tamale metropolis.
Prince Mukadi who has over five (5) experience in organising community based soccer tournaments will present his statement Saturday, 30th November, 2019 on the Zaa Sports Show at 4pm.
This is in response to a formal request by a staunch football enthusiast, Salim Musah, a resident of Aboabo in the Tamale metropolis.
According to a letter addressed to award winning presenter, Musah Salim is seeking clarity on the competition for an alleged “cheating” in which the organisers failed to present to his team (Team Aboabo) their cash prize winning the competition.

Dear Halid Prince Mukadi Gbramoni
It is an honour and an opportunity for me to pen down this letter to you as a media personnel and a sports presenter in the Tamale metropolis.
We have witnessed you organised Gala matches for a couple of times as a social responsibility of your station which is ZAA RADIO 99.3 FM and it went on successful.
The question I want to ask is,did your station organised it to make profit or as a way of giving back to the society?
If there was a registration fee, how much did each participant pay as registration fee?
If the second question is yes, did zaa radio used the the registration fee to organised the events or they withdrew monies from their coffers to organise it?
Am asking you all these questions because, a brother station (Radio Tamale 91.7) organised a similar Gala matches with 19 TEAMs and each team was supposed to pay ghc300 as registration fee.
Which means Radio Tamale took an amount total of Ghc5700 from the participants.
After paying the registration fees, the organisers promised us that there will be a cash price for the winners of the tournament.
An amount they never disclosed to us.
We used two weeks to play the matches in the hot sun ☀️. The cost of transportation from our area to the Tamale sports stadium wasn’t easy but we managed to handle it.
On the final day, the referee’s refused to handle the match because they didn’t pay them their money.
After we emerged victorious in the final match, we were given only a set of synthetic jersey, 2 balls and a trophy 🏆.
We asked for the money promised but they pay deaf ear to our concern.
We didn’t hear from them the whole week.we tried contacting them but there wasn’t any fruitful response from them. We decided to put our grievances on social media as a way of reminding them.
But Abdallah Yamusah who is their General Manager or so commented on the post threatening our Coach Abdul Waris Ck and rubbishing our concerns.
He was even asking us whether we know the monies they spent on the field and balls we played during the games. Which I think is unfortunate and unprofessional on his part as a manager of such noble Radio station.
His response was a clear indication that, they used some of our money’s to organise the event and share the remaining amount. Meanwhile, from a reliable source, they didn’t spend a penny on the jersey, balls, trophy and what have you. All was given to them for free.
Halid Prince Mukadi, I am directing this write up to you because, you are a sports presenter and also an organiser of such fun games to promote and unite the people.
If you dont step up and fight these fraudsters who are out to destroy what you have laboured hard for, the credibility of your subsequent events may be at stake.
I hope you will use everything within your power to help and make things right as a media personnel and sports presenter.
