Construction works on the Tamale Interchange project under the Synohydro deal will be completed in July 2021, Roads Minsiter, Kwesi Amoako-Atta has stated.
The Minsiter gave the indication yesterday (Thursday) after inspecting some road projects in the Northern Region.
Mr. Amoako-Atta after interacting with the contractor was optimistic the project will be commissioned on time.
Addressing journalists at the construction site in Tamale, Mr. Amoako Atta said progress of work has reached 40 per cent.
“The contractors have done 40 per cent of the work on the Tamale interchange as at now and we call it 40 per cent completion which means that the project is on course ,” he stated.
However, Mr. Amoako-Atta assured adequate compensation will be given to persons and businesses affected by the project.
President Akufo-Addo on 10th April 2019 cut sod for commencement of the project at the Tamale Jubilee Park.
The project was under the Synohydro Master Project Support Agreement (MPSA) to ease traffic and movement of goods and services in Tamale to neighboring countries.
Construction works under deal is expected to last within 30 calendar months after commencement of work.
