Trust Akufo-Addo, He Is Fixing The Country – Bawumia

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has responded to the ongoing “Fix The Country” campaign by aggrieved Ghanaians on social media.

The campaign is a result of hikes in taxes, power cuts and water crises in the country.

Dr Bawumia in a statement urged Ghanaians to have confidence in President Akufo-Addo to address the current economic challenges faced in the country.

He blamed the impact of Covid-19 on global economy in the increase of good and services.

However, Dr Bawumia posited the the government of President Akufo-Addi has performed well despite inheriting a “broken” economy from the erstwhile Mahama NDC administration in 2017.

“Nevertheless, it is very important to place the performance of our government over the last four years after inheriting an economy with “no meat on the bone” on record. Ours is a government that listens and cares. The facts and data speak for themselves,” he stated.

He added “Trust President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.”

Dear Friends,

OUR RECORD OF FIXING PROBLEMS

We are four months into our four year mandate. The job of government is to fix problems. This is what we have been doing since 2017. The COVID-19 pandemic has slowed down the global economy and caused increases in prices of commodities such as oil, cement and iron rods as well as overall cost of shipping. Nevertheless, it is very important to place the performance of our government over the last four years after inheriting an economy with “no meat on the bone” on record. Ours is a government that listens and cares. The facts and data speak for themselves.

Trust President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo
