TV personality Efia Odo has over the weekend donated to National Chief Imam Sheikh Dr. Usman Nuhu Sharubutu ahead of this year’s Ramadan which starts Thursday, 23rd April, 2020.
The controversial TV host presented bags of rice, cartons of bottled water, cartons of milk and boxes of sugar.
Efia also presented an undisclosed amount of cash to the Chief Imam to support vulnerable households and the less previlaged.
According to her, the gesture was her quota to support the Muslim community in the country and to seek the blessings of the Almighty Allah during the holy month of Ramadan.
Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu expressed gratitude to Efia Odo for thinking about Muslims amid Covid-19 and the upcoming Ramadan fasting.
Sheikh Sharubutu also prayed for her and wished her well in her endeavors.
Ramadan is the fourth (4th) pillar of Islam Iwhich Muslims across the world undertake 30 days of fasting (dawn to dusk) and prayer.
It is also the ninth month in the Islamic calendar, and a time for spiritual reflection and self improvement.
Efia Odo is known for her philanthropic efforts.
She has done alot of charity works for the aged, the needy and the homeless both in Accra and other parts of the country.
