University of Ghana shuts down after one reported case of Coronavirus

The management of the University of Ghana (UG) Legon, have placed an indefinite suspension on lectures after of one its students tested positive for the deadly Covid-19 virus.

University authorities have also suspended clinicals and practicals as part of its preventive measures until further notice.

According the University in a statement, one of its non-resident students who return from an international trip contracted the virus.

The statement added the University Basic School has also been closed down included a ban on religious, sports and social gathering on the University campuses.
