Popular Ghanaian recording artist Kofi Kinaata has made history at the 22nd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) held on Friday, 25th June, 2021 at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC).
The Things Fall Apart hit maker was once again adjudged Song Writer of The Year on the night making him the highest winner of the category since the inception of the scheme in 2001.
He picked the coveted award ahead of Adina, Diana Hamelton, Episode and Joe Metel.
The Fante rap sensation first won the category back in 2016 and has since dominated the category in 2017, 2018 and 2021.
He has also been nominated in the Highlife Artist, High Song and International Collaboration of the Year categories scheduled to be announced on Saturday, 26th June, 2021.
An elated Kofi Kinaata shared his joy in a Facebook post saying;
“Another One! I set a record last year.. and I’ve broken my own record this year! The only Ghanaian 🇬🇭 artiste to win the VGMA SongWriter Award for the FOURTH time! #VGMA22 #TeamMooove”
